Infrastructure

The Board of Directors recognized a major infrastructure deficiency was the lack of modern and reliable fiber optics which is as important as water, electricity, sewer and natural gas.

Current goals and projects include:

·           Addition of rural broadband amplifiers

·           Installation of fiber optics networks (primary and back-up) and Campus data center ($900,000 project)

·           Baldwin County Expanding potential scope to include loop from CSH to Downtown to Northside County Annex to County Jail (on boundary of Industrial Park)

CSHLRA would essentially become a broadband utility operator
