Central State Hospital was established to address mental health care needs of those in the community as well as rest of Georgia. Renaissance Park continues to address health issues with these organizations and institutions who are serving patients and families of all ages.
The new Bostick Nursing Center is a state-of-the-art facility consisting of 98,000 square feet of assisted living, in the form of 280-beds to former inmates. Bostick Nursing Center will house aging and in-firmed former prison system inmates who have served their terms, but who now will require healthcare treatment or supervision.
The nursing center will be of “great” benefit to these former inmates once they leave the custody of state correctional facilities.
The Georgia War Veterans Home, situated on approximately 17 acres in Milledgeville, is a 375-bed facility licensed and certified by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to provide skilled nursing care to aged and infirm Georgia war veterans. United Veteran Services of Georgia, Inc., a subsidiary of UHS-Pruitt Corporation of Norcross, operates the home for the Department of Veterans Service under a contractual agreement.
The Bright House, a division of Southern Crescent Sexual Assault and Child Advocacy Center, provides crisis intervention, forensic medical exams, forensic interviews for children, legal advocacy, counseling and resource referrals to victims of sexual assault and child abuse in the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit. We also provide community education outreach and training. All services provided are free of charge. Our main objective is to reduce trauma to victims by providing a safe, comfortable location while ensuring all of their medical and emotional needs are met.
